The story of Tom & Sunny

We met in the Huntington Beach singles ward. The first time we talked was at a church dance. We walked around the church building several times telling our whole life stories. I gave Tom my phone number and I was sure he was going to call me and ask me out on a date. Tom went to work the next day and told his coworkers about me and said he was going to ask me out, but never did. We both started dating other people, until Memorial Day 2002. Tom had a bar-b-cue at his house. I was with a group of girls riding our bikes around to people's bar-b-ques, one of which was Tom's. I saw Tom cooking hamburgers at the grill and felt a spark. I asked one of his friends if he was dating anyone and she said "No. In fact, he has a dating application out." Then she told Tom that I was asking about him. Later that evening at another bar-b-cue, Tom showed up and started flirting with me. I gave him my number again and the next day he called me. I filled out his dating application and I guess I got an A+ because he called me nearly every day after that. We were married on June 18, 2003 at the Kirtland, Ohio temple and will be sealed on May 15, 2008 in the Nauvoo, Illinois temple.
